Al Unser Sr. is a Legendary Four-Time winner of the Indy 500. He won in 1970, ‘71, ‘78 and 1980. Al’s 1970 speed was 155.749 mph, and he lapped all but 4 cars driving the Johnny Lightning Special in P.J. (Parnelli Jone’s) Colt Ford. He is the only person to have both a brother (Bobby) and son (Al Jr.) win the Indy 500 All three captured their final Indy 500 wins racing for the Penske team.
